This is something that has pissed me off for years, and I know I'm, not the only one to notice this. Listen to the news. When you hear of a dog bite, or attack, or other form or "bad dog" story, it it's ANY breed BUT a pit, they simply say "the DOG did this or the DOG did that". It could be a dalmatian, or a shihtzu, or a lab, or a saint, the news will say "DOG". But if it's even the TINIEST part pit bull, they make damn sure to say so. I hate it. I've seen and met lots of pits in my life, and they've all be friendly as any other dog! And poor pits aren't the only ones that get this bad rap. Rottweilers are another breed that get frowned upon. My dog is half rotti and half German Shepherd, and he's the sweetest and smartest dog we've ever owned. To say a breed makes a dog "bad" is like saying tall men are bad, or skinny people are evil.

GET OVER IT.

Judge a dog -ANY DOG- by the DEED done, not the breed. If you agree, please feel free to take this stamp and pass it around.

Okay, rant over.

I agree with you I think it's stupid to be scare dof a pit bull siimply cause of what it is,but my judgemant goes deeper then that,I actually look to the human error,I tend to be a guy who thinks about what the anima;s bene through or somthing that may have provoked it to attack or bite, and when I think of it,over all it's man's fault,I even think about all the times I've bitten by a dog,and now that I think about,I always did somthing that had resulted in such.

I could go on but I don't wanna prolounge everything

Bottom line is,I agree with you

Sadly, it's the words "Pit Bull" that draw people's interest, increasing ratings. A lot of news agencies reporting on attacks will even say the dog is a pit bull just because it may resemble one even though it's a completely different breed. It's all about the ratings.

That's the saddest thing about it all, is that they spread the hate of the breed for ratings. It could be any breed, like a poodle. :\
