The comparison is startling, no? Ant' really grew as a character over time. He's a coyote, by the way. The problems in his design (like not really looking all that much like a coyote, and not having a tail) stem from the original staff's mistake of just drawing 'animalish' characters without actually specifying what the heck they were supposed to be. (Antoine and Sally suffered the most from this)Later, however, they were forced to pick something less vague. I suspect they probably just threw darts at a board to decide what he and Sally were.
